The Early Years Learning Framework states that ‘Children express ideas and make meaning using a range of media’ (EYLF, p. 42). Can you give an example that supports this statement?

Children are different. Each child will express their own ideas using different ways. Just because one child interprets and gains meaning from an activity a certain way, does not mean the next child will interpret it the same way. Children will gain meaning and express their ideas using a range of media. For example, paintings, collages, drawings, dramatic play, story telling, dance or construction are just some of the ways in which children can express what they have learned. There is no correct way in how Children should gain meaning from activities or express their ideas.
